Big Island

Image
This is my entry to  CSI Challenge: Case 275 I tried to incorporate as many clues as I could. The evidence clues that I included included stripes, floral patterns, text prints, film strip, washi tape, leafy elements, hangers, frames, watercolor and creating shelves. The testimony included documenting a hobby (traveling),  happiness journal prompt( write down three things you would tell your younger self) and presentation(framing my journaling). The personal challenge for me was to journalling a predominantly outdoor experience with indoor elements.I have been wanting to document I travel to big island for a long time. The CSI challenge provided a good opportunity for me to do so. The initial background and closeup images are attached below.

The Life of a Flower

Image
A life dedicated to the joy of others! Gratitude is what a flower reminds me of and is the central theme of my project .  I used different layers to denote the sentiment of gratitude literally in words and thematically through flowers. Using many layers is my favorite because each layer brings in the simplicity of beauty and the different layers working harmoniously together brings out the complexity of beauty. I used the sketch from  C.R.A.F.T It is my entry for http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/03/challenge-504-7th-of-march-sketch.html https://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/2019/03/challenge-572-anything-goes.html http://disdigidesignschallenge.blogspot.com/ (sentiment, flowers, hand colored image) http://asyoulikeitchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/02/layers-one-or-many-and-why.html?m=1 (layers) http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.com/2019/03/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-420.html?m=1 ( anything goes) https://scribblesdesignschallenge.blogspot.com/2019/02/challenge

Wings of Flight

Image
"Having the wings to be able to fly,  Strutting like a butterfly soaring high, Breaking all shackles and reaching the sky" That is my fantasy! Physically it might be difficult in this lifetime, but I can do so with my imagination and creativity. I would also want to do that metaphorically rising up and reaching the sky both professionally and personally. It is a delicate balance just like that of a butterfly delicately balancing on a wall. It is also the inspiration for my entry to the MTW challenge- Fantasy and Wings .  For this work, apart  from white and black, the colors I used were exclusively Lindys's Gang beautiful colors for pale lavender, soft gray and muted green.  This is my entry to the Lindy's gang  March 2019 challenge ( https://lindysgang.blog/  ) The specific colors were: 1.   Pop rock purple Magical 2.  Sea Grass Green Magical 3.  Steel Shimmer Magical A close up look to the project:
